December will be upon us in a few days and December 5/6 will be the first set of On-The-Hill OEC Scenarios.  By December 13, we should be finished with with this work and ready to move on through the first three Mountain-First modules beginning January 9th.  The current candidate class may finish the work prior to the 4-days set aside.  We will also be recruiting new M1 candidates during December and hope to have 10-15 to evaluate and train.  Current candidates will depart from the new candidate class somewhere during toboggan training, which starts January 23.  All of these new candidates will take Level I Avalanche with you this year.  Probationary patroller work could begin in late January, if we finish the modules early, or immediately after Level I Avalanche.
